PGA British Columbia Golfathon for ALS Presented by Pacific Blue Cross

Golfathon Gratitude Video 2023

The PGA of British Columbia and their golf professionals have supported the ALS Society of British Columbia (ALS BC) for over 17 years through the PGA of BC Golfathon for ALS annual fundraiser. During these events, golfers pledge to play from sunrise to sunset, using their muscles to support those who have lost theirs to ALS. The PGA of BC has raised a remarkable $2,822,100.00 so far, which is truly impressive!

All proceeds from the Golfathons directly support individuals living with ALS in British Columbia and the Yukon, as well as their families and caregivers, ensuring they receive the best possible care and quality of life.

We offer our heartfelt congratulations to the PGA of BC community for the success of the Golfathons for ALS. We want to express our sincere gratitude to the entire community for their unwavering support, which has allowed us to DREAM BIG and strive towards ending ALS.

ALS can hit anyone, at any time, regardless of age, gender or ethnic origin. The average life expectancy after diagnosis is two to five years. Support equipment costs an average of $160,000.00 per patient; nursing and/or home care costs are up to 10 times that amount.
